Strengthening Academic Ties: Irans Ambassador and President Universitys rector Forge New Pathways for Collaboration

On March 12, 2024, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Boroujerdi, the esteemed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia, met with Mr. Handa S. Abidin, SH, LL.M., Ph.D., rector of President University. During this meeting, both parties expressed their eagerness to establish relations between Iranian academic institutions and President University of Indonesia, agreeing on further communication and information exchange.

H.E. Mr. Boroujerdi highlighted Iran's strength in educational, scientific, technical, and applied sciences sectors, referencing the country's student population of 3.4 million. He announced the embassy's readiness to facilitate connections between President University and relevant Iranian scientific institutions.

Mr. Handa S. Abidin, SH, LL.M., Ph.D., reflecting on the educational institution's motto of developing quality and sustainable human resources, emphasized the importance of collaboration with scientific communities from various countries as part of the university's foundational policies. He also expressed willingness to offer scholarships to Iranian students interested in studying at President University.

It is noteworthy that President University, with over 8,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 400 international students from 30 countries, stands as Indonesia's largest educational institution in terms of foreign student enrollment.
