Dr. Pezeshkian President of the Islamic Republic of Iran expresses his condolences
Iran announces its comprehensive readiness to provide assistance to the people of the affected areas
In a message Dr. Pezeshkian President of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his condolences to the government and people of Indonesia for the floods and landslides on the island of Sumatra which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several Indonesian citizens. He also expressed Irans full readiness to provide humanitarian assistance and emergency relief to the people in the affected areas.

The unfortunate incident of flooding and landslides in the Sumatra region, and the loss of life and injury to a number of Muslim people in that friendly and brotherly country, has deeply affected me.
On behalf of the government and people of Iran, I offer my condolences to Your Excellency and the people of Indonesia on this devastating event, and I pray for God's mercy and forgiveness for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.
The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran declares its full readiness to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to the people of the affected areas and hopes that, with God's grace, the effects and consequences of this natural disaster will be eliminated as soon as possible and conditions will return to normal.
