Online meeting of women's empowerment and Children Protection The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Indonesia
Bilateral relations
In continuation of cooperation between the Vice Presidency for Women of Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Republic of Indonesia and in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides, a two-day workshop entitled “Women's Empowerment in to ICT’s and Child Protection in Cyber Space” was held online between Iran and Indonesia on 13 and 14 October 2020. At the outset of the meeting, the message of Mrs. Masoumeh Ebtekar, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, and the message of Mrs.I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, the Minister of Empowerment of Women and Child Protection of Republic of Indonesia, broadcasted online In her speech, Mrs. Ebtekar emphasized the importance of empowering women in ICT for the sustainable development and advancement of women with equitable access to cyberspace, as well as challenges such as the digital gap, especially the gender gap in access to literacy and Internet skills in cyberspace.
