Raisi calls for efforts to expand of Iran-ASEAN cooperation

Raisi made the remarks in Jakarta during a meeting with ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says Iran and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) should seriously pursue the objectives set for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
They discussed regional issues, exchanged views on their ongoing efforts to advance ASEAN-Iran relations, and sought ways and means to further enhance the cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and interest.
ASEAN is a political and economic union of 10 member states in Southeast Asia.
