Development of scientific and academic relations between Iran and Indonesia

H.E. Azad, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia, met Prof. Amany Burhanuddin Umar Lubis the Rector of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta on Thursday, January 20, 2022, to discuss the development of scientific and cultural relations between the two countries. At the outset, H.E. Azad, while explaining the cultural and historical similarities and linguistic commonalities of the two countries, emphasized Iran's readiness to develop cooperation in this field. Furthermore, the fields of cooperation in the field of science and academia were also deliberated.
Prof. Amany Burhanuddin Umar Lubis also welcomed the scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries, including the exchange of professors and students and attending joint and international webinars.
They also stressed on cooperation in the field of women's empowerment.
