H.E. Mr. Boroujerdi, the distinguished Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, engaged in a formal meeting with H.E. Mr. Pahala Nugraha Mansury, the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. The discussion between the two officials underscored a mutual commitment to bolstering bilateral relations and expediting the execution of previously agreed-upon initiatives.
In the course of the meeting, H.E. Mr. Boroujerdi articulated his pleasure over the fruitful realization of numerous Memoranda of Understanding signed between the two nations. These agreements span a diverse array of sectors, including healthcare, technology, drug control, and the abolition of political visa requirements. Furthermore, H.E. Mr. Boroujerdi referenced the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA), a pivotal document signed during the esteemed visit of President Raisi of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia in May 2023, heralding a new chapter in economic cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador expressed a fervent desire to strengthen collaborative efforts to ensure the swift and efficient implementation of the outstanding agreements.
Responding to the Ambassador's remarks, H.E. Mr. Mansury reciprocated the sentiments of satisfaction regarding the progress achieved in the wake of President Raisi's visit. He praised the Islamic Republic of Iran's prowess in critical sectors such as healthcare, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and medical equipment, acknowledging the significant potential for deepened and expanded cooperation in these and other areas.
