Iranian Ambassador to Jakarta met with the Minister of Agriculture of Indonesia

H.E. Mr. Mohammad Boroujerdi met with H.E. Mr. Andi Amran Sulaiman, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. During the meeting, the Indonesian Agriculture Minister highlighted the impact of climate change on agricultural yields and expressed interest in leveraging Iranian expertise in water resource management and utilizing the technological capacities of Iran, particularly in nanotechnology, for his country’s agricultural sector.

H.E. Mr. Boroujerdi, in turn, expressed readiness to collaborate in this field and described the signing of a memorandum of understanding on plant protection and plant quarantine, as well as the organization of the third session of the joint agricultural steering committee, as significant steps toward strengthening bilateral relations. It was also agreed that the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture would soon host a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
